Everett Day was born in Southern California where his father was a Professor and Botanical Scientist at the University of California, Riverside.  Everett's drawing and painting talents were apparent from an early age, as was his interest in gardens and landscape design. His father encouraged his interest in these fields,  later suggesting that he combine his two interests through the study of  Landscape Architecture. Everett went on to take his B.S. Degree in Landscape Architecture from California Polytechnic State University, Pomona, Calif.
Another decisive input into his artistic development and personal evolution came from the meeting with Maharishi Mahesh Yogi the summer after graduating from University in 1974. Maharishi, the famous Indian teacher and guru of  Vedic philosophy, brought to the world the technique of Transcendental Meditation, practiced to this day by millions of people worldwide,  including many well known artists and celebrities such as the Beatles,  film director David Lynch, Oprah, Ellen Degeneres, and Jennifer Lopez.  Everett has delved into the mysteries of the inner experience of pure consciousness through his meditation practice and brings this value not only to his personal spiritual evolution but to inform his artistic expression with a calmness, wakefulness and the expression of joy through the use of  bright clear colors.  He is also a certified teacher of Transcendental Meditation and  took his M.S. degree in the Science of Creative Intelligence at Maharishi European Research University in  Seelisberg, Switzerland.
Everett has continued over the years to practice Landscape and Interior Design internationally and more recently has put emphasis on visual arts through the development of his digital paintings and portraits.

Everett Day is currently represented at the Art Deco Welcome Center Gallery, Miami Beach, Florida, MAC Fine Art, Fort Lauderdale, Florida and Effusion Gallery, Miami, Florida.
